Susanna Reid announces break from Good Morning Britain
The star will be taking next week off.
Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has announced she will be taking a break from the show.
The star shared at the end of today’s episode that she won’t be on the morning show next week due to the half term holidays, though confirmed she will return soon afterwards.
Signing off to regular guests Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire, she declared: “Andrew, Kevin, good to see you this morning.”
Susanna then clarified: “I will be back after half term. Good Morning Britain is back tomorrow from six, now it’s time to join Lorraine.”
Last month, Susanna unveiled a new hair transformation, opting to take advice from pop icon Cher and sport longer locks after having a bob.
“NEW YEAR NEW HAIR!” she wrote on Instagram. “After having THE CHOP in 2023, pop idol Cher told me women should keep the long hair so I am turning back time and going LONG for 2025 with hair extensions put in by @christinabhair.”
Co-presenter Ed Balls was less of a fan, saying on GMB: “I really like the short hair. Do you remember when we interviewed Cher and Cher said, ‘Keep your hair long?’ I thought, ‘No you’re wrong, Cher.'”
Susanna later appeared to forgive her fellow presenter, posting a picture with Ed and writing: “What a morning – even if @edballs isn’t a fan of the new hair!”
Meanwhile, last month GMB was hit was hundreds of Ofcom complaints over presenter Adil Ray’s comments about darts champion Luke Littler. The show also attracted criticism over “irresponsible reporting” after reporter Nick Dixon was seen in high winds while commenting on Storm Éowyn.
Good Morning Britain airs weekday mornings on ITV between 6am and 9am.
