JUST DONE: AT LAST $11,650MILLION FORWARD SIGNS FOR GOLDEN KNIGHTS

The Maine Mariners have announced that they’ve signed forward Patrick Guay for the 2024-25 season. Guay, who was drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Draft, has spent his first two pro seasons in the Golden Knights organization. In 74 games at the ECHL level with the Savannah Ghost Pirates, he’s put up 27 goals and 54 assists for 81 points and would be named to the All-Star Game in 2023. He’s added two goals and four assists for six points at the AHL level with the Henderson Silver Knights.

Prior to going pro, the 22-year-old forward spent three seasons in the QMJHL with the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Charlottetown Islanders, where he put up 107 goals and 99 assists for 206 points in 205 games. The Magog, Quebec native would be named to the QMJHL First All-Star Team in 2022 while also leading the league in playoff goals (13) and points (28).

“It was an overall a really good fit with the Mariners and I’m really pumped for it,” said Guay. “Getting some wins, cheers from the fans, and getting to meet the new players and staff, that’s what I’m really excited about this year. I feel like we can do something really good.”

Patrick is the younger brother of Nicolas Guay, who spent two seasons with the Trois-Rivières Lions before signing in Slovakia this summer. He put up 23 goals and 47 assists for 70 points in 108 games with the Lions. He played in 16 games at the AHL level with the Abbotsford Canucks.
