Marc Márquez has recovered ‘his passion for bikes’ and the feeling of being competitive again: ‘I thought I would never come back, but…’
The year 2024 will certainly be remembered by Marc Márquez and MotoGP fans as a very special and intense one, which marked a drastic change in the rider’s career… and with clear benefits.
Márquez once again showed his level and a competitiveness not seen in years, and that was exactly what happened best to the rider, as he himself considered during the Ducati Campioni in Festa event.
When asked about what he learned in the recently finished season, Márquez believes he recovered something more important beforehand: ‘In 2024 I didn’t win the title and finished third in the World Championship, but I recovered something more important: the passion for bikes and the feeling of feeling competitive again. I thought I would never come back, but I’m competitive and, with the right bike in the right place, I can win races’.
Thus, recovering belief in himself and his abilities was indeed the best lesson that the season brought to the rider, who will be in the official Ducati team next year: ‘That’s what I recovered, and it’s very important. I learned to believe in myself’.
