OFFICIAL: Two Virginia Tech Football Offensive Players Have Finally Entered the Transfer Portal
Earlier this week, three Virginia Tech football defensive linemen announced that they were entering the transfer portal, which officially opens Monday and runs through Dec. 28. When it opens, expect more Hokies to put their names in, but a pair of offensive players announced on Saturday they will be entering the portal.
Two Virginia Tech offensive players to enter the transfer portal
Redshirt offensive lineman, Lance Williams, announced on his X account that he’ll be entering the portal and looking for a new home for the 2025 season. Williams, who was a three-star lineman in the Class of 2023, didn’t play in 2023 and logged just three snaps this season in a win over Boston College in Blacksburg back in November.
Also on Saturday, walk-on quarterback Jackson Sigler announced on his X account that he’ll be entering the portal. He went to Mountain View High School and is from Stafford, Virginia.
Both players entering the portal are depth players currently for the Hokies and as far as Sigler goes, currently, the Hokies have depth in quarterback with AJ Brand and Kelden Ryan coming in a freshman next season. It remains to be seen as to what happens with Kyron Drones and Pop Watson going forward with true freshman Davi Belfort.
Virginia Tech and head coach Brent Pry now have five players entering the portal with defensive linemen Khurtiss Perry, Malachi Madison, and Ishmael Findlayter announcing earlier this week that they were entering the portal. Perry spent just one season in Blacksburg after coming from Alabama, but back in November, coach J.C. Price was asked about Perry and didn’t want to talk about him, which makes him entering the portal no surprise.
