Crystal Palace agree deal to sign Maxence Lacroix
We Are Palace understands that Crystal Palace have agreed terms in principle with Wolfsburg for defender Maxence Lacroix.
Lacroix has long been a target for Palace, who have now made their move after agreeing to sell Joachim Andersen to Fulham in a £30m deal.
Crystal Palace have agreed terms in principle on a deal worth £14m for 24-year-old Lacroix, but sources inform We Are Palace that talks over minor details are continuing.
Lacroix, who We Are Palace understand has made it clear to Wolfsburg that he wants to move to England, is due for his medical in the coming days and the expectation is that a deal will be finalised ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with West Ham.
We Are Palace have also been told that Palace’s talks with Newcastle over Marc Guehi are ongoing and that Anderson’s sale does not impact on whether the England defender will be sold.
This comes hours after Fabrizio Romano tweeted that Palace had submitted a bid to sign the Oliver Glasner favourite – with the pair being fond of each other after working together in Germany.

For at least three months, Lacroix has been a player linked to Selhurst Park.
In fact, after initial rumours surfaced that the Eagles were keen, Lacroix even admitted he had talked to Glasner on the phone.
Glasner has been the one pushing for this deal to transpire, with the Rio Ferdinand-like defender, Lacroix, also being open to the move for a while now.
To sign him for just £14m is a real bargain – Dougie Freedman may have just upgraded on Andersen for only half the price.
