Not Good: Edmonton Oilers Makes An Unexpected Announcement That May Affect The Team’s Financial Stability.

The Tulsa Oilers have announced that they have signed defenseman Trevor Thurston, forward Dallas Comeau, and forward Serron Noel for the 2024-25 ECHL season.

Trevor Thurston is a 22 year old 6’2″ defenseman from North Delta, British Columbia. Thurston started his junior career in the 2018-19 season and spent it playing for the Kamloops Blazers, Lethbridge Hurricanes, and Prince Albert Raiders in the WHL. In his five WHL seasons, Thurston played in 107 games where he had 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points. He had 215 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -21. He played in three playoff games where he did not register any points and had six penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -2. Thurston also spent part of the 2022-23 season in the BCHL and QMJHL. In the BCHL, Thurston played two game with the Merritt Centennials where he had one goal and two assists for three points with two penalty minutes. In the QMJHL, Thurston played 48 games with the Cape Breton Eagles where he had nine goals and and 12 assists for 21 points. He had 89 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +4. Thurston played four playoff games with the Eagles where he did not register any points and had 18 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -2.
