Susanna Reid announces extended break from Good Morning Britain
Susanna Reid has confirmed she will take an extended break from Good Morning Britain, though her replacement is yet to be announced.
The presenter, who hosts the ITV show from Monday to Wednesday as well as alternate Thursdays, confirmed on April 3’s instalment that she would be taking a break from the series for a “couple of weeks”.
At the end of Thursday’s show, co-host Ed Balls remarked (via Daily Mail): “And Susanna, we’ll see you in a couple of weeks time,” with Reid replying: “See you in a couple of weeks, I’m going to go and spend some time off. I will be back – do not fear.”

Reid’s latest break comes after a short hiatus she took back in February, when she confirmed to regular guests Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire that she would return following the half-term break.
Reid, who presents the show alongside Balls, Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway, has been a member of the GMB crew since 2014, with her previous roles including a 13-year stint on BBC Breakfast.
