INDIANA FEVER’S PLAYER’S  INVOLVED IN CONTROVERSIAL INCIDENT THAT SPARKS WIDESPREAD OUTRAGE Team and League Investigate

Following the 2024 WNBA season, the league announced its expansion, which includes the Golden State Valkyries franchise. With the Valkyries set to compete in their inaugural season in 2025, the franchise had the opportunity to select one player from each existing franchise. Each team could protect six players from being selected, leaving the rest of its roster up for grabs in the expansion draft

While the exact list of players for the Indiana Fever has yet to be released, it’s evident that center Temi Fagbenle was not on the protected list. Fagbenle was taken by the Valkyries in the expansion draft, leaving Indiana to search for a new backup center in the free agency market.
