I’ve Had Enough! Saints’ Fan Favorite Declares Intention Of Leaving Club Following A Heavy Misunderstanding With Head Coach
The Return Of Sean Tucker
Since Sean Tucker went nuts against the slimy Saints, running for 136 yards, the Bucs have put him on ice.
Since that New Orleans game, Tucker has had 14 carries for 26 yards. Until today.
Tucker had 47 yards on three carries, including a key 34-yard run. He did in place of Bucky Irving who messed up his back and sat out the rest of the game.
Bucs coach Todd Bowles was pretty impressed with Tucker’s production.
“It’s a luxury that we are pretty lucky to have,” Bowles said of Tucker. “Not many teams have three guys that you kind of just can plug and play. They are all different backs and good at their own thing.
“But having Sean come in there and add some physical runs in the gap game and be able to bounce the ball and create an explosive – that was huge for us.”
Tucker’s run seemed to ignite the Bucs offense which previously had been in a funk highlighted by turnovers.
The way Irving was beat up, having Tucker come off the bench, somewhat fresh, to jump-start the offense on the ground could be a huge weapon for the Bucs.
4 more games is alot of season left to play. We need Bucky close to 100 percent when he plays. Those hip pointers can be nagging and painful. If we can use White and Tucker getting the touches this next game or two and let Bucky heal up we’ll be stronger heading into the playoffs. We have a game offensive line and with these 3 backs we are potentially the team that nobody wants to try to defend in the postseason. I know I still haven’t seen enough of Tucker. Maybe this week?
