Shocking News: Bubba Wallace responds fiercely to ex NASCAR Driver for calling him a pissed off baby driver
Bubba Wallace Breaks Silence On 23XI Racing NASCAR Lawsuit.
Bubba Wallace has voiced his support for the ongoing lawsuit against NASCAR initiated by 23XI Racing, the team he races for, and Front Row Motorsports. This legal action stems from NASCAR’s recent refusal to agree to a charter agreement that would span from 2025 to 2031. At its heart are allegations that NASCAR is exerting monopolistic control to push through agreements deemed unfavorable by some stakeholders.
23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports released the following joint statement last week: “Everyone knows that I have always been a fierce competitor, and that will to win is what drives me and the entire 23XI team each and every week out on the track. I love the sport of racing and the passion of our fans, but the way NASCAR is run today is unfair to teams, drivers, sponsors, and fans. Today’s action shows I’m willing to fight for a competitive market where everyone wins.”
The reaction from the NASCAR community to the lawsuit has been varied. For Bubba Wallace, the lawsuit represents the possibility for change within NASCAR, an element he is eager to champion. In a statement to The Athletic, Wallace commented, as quoted by First Sportz:
“Me being an advocate for change and standing up for change, that’s what I look. It’s a crazy time to be in NASCAR, but I stand behind my team 100 percent, and we’ll see where it takes us.” Also notably affected by this lawsuit is Wallace’s teammate Tyler Reddick. He also commented on the legal battle: “I mean they let us know what’s going on and yeah, basically along the same lines as what you guys have heard from Curtis and the lawyers.
“So, yeah all good here. “No, I haven’t felt uncomfortable yet. I’ll let you know if that changes.” 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan released a statement as part of the announcement of the lawsuit, as previously quoted by Newsweek Sports:
“Everyone knows that I have always been a fierce competitor, and that will to win is what drives me and the entire 23XI team each and every week out on the track. I love the sport of racing and the passion of our fans, but the way NASCAR is run today is unfair to teams, drivers, sponsors, and fans. Today’s action shows I’m willing to fight for a competitive market where everyone wins.” Denny Hamlin, another co-owner of 23XI Racing, also explained: “It’s actually pretty simple in my opinion. When I look around, I see that the best and most competitive sports in the world understand that when teams thrive, fans benefit, and that everyone who invests in making the sport a success should share fairly in that success. With the right changes, we can certainly make that a reality in racing.”
