Richard Stenhouse reinstated following NASCAR suspension
Back in May, Kyle Busch ran Ricky Stenhouse Jr wide on lap 2 in the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Stenhouse Jr’s race came to an early end.
There’s no tunnel to the infield at the North Carolina track. For 198 laps, Stenhouse Jr was forced to wait in the infield, fuming.
After the race, Stenhouse Jr was waiting around at the hauler of the No. 8 car. He was looking to have a chat about the incident from lap 2.
However, only a few words were exchanged before Stenhouse Jr threw a punch at Busch. Crews from both sides got involved.
Following the altercation, multiple suspensions were issued by NASCAR. Driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr was also fined $75,000.
