Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang has been a pivotal player in the team’s success this year. He plays gold glove caliber defense, bats leadoff, and he steals a lot of bases. Against the Cincinnati Reds he swiped his 40th base of the year and became just the ninth player in Brewers franchise history to accomplish this.

The Brewers have had 13 seasons in which a player has stolen at least 40 bases in a season, but Brice Turang is just the ninth different player to accomplish it. Per Nugget Chef on X Brice Turang is one of three MLB players this year with 30 extra base hits and 40 stolen bases. The others include Shohei Ohtani and Elly De La Cruz. Nugget Chef also indicated that seven other Brewers have been a part of the 30/40 club with Jonathan Villar being the most recent.
